Electric Drum
Electric Drum
An electric drum kit is just like an acoustic drum kit only that it works on trigger mechanism when triggered creates a predefined sound. The pads are generally made out of rubber or a cloth like mesh. The newer electric drum kits are able to provide a real life like sound. The signals are received by a module, which is connected to the drum kit. The main advantage of this electronic kit is that it produces much less sound compared to an acoustic drum kit. The sound can be routed to a speaker or a pair of headphones. Electronic drum kits are more compact compared to acoustic drum kits. A single kit can be used to produce various sounds apart from the original drum kit sound. Recording an electric kit is far easier compared to the complex procedures of recording an acoustic kit.
